In celebration of the Lunar New Year, Porsche has collaborated with Exclusively Mongrels and Oasis Second Chance Animal Shelter (OSCAS) for a special photoshoot series, beautifully shot at Dempsey Hill. The partnership with the shelters aims to raise awareness of animal welfare and encourage pet adoption in Singapore, given the history of impulse purchases of canines during the Lunar Year of the Dog.

Camper – 7 years (Male) (recently adopted) from OSCAS, with the Porsche 911 Carrera

The vibrant photos showcase not only Porsche signatures such as the 911 Carrera; they also feature cheerful furry friends from the two shelters posing alongside the polished cars, and are all available for adoption. Mary Soo, Co-founder of OSCAS says that the canines are “still waiting to find a forever loving home,” just like hundreds of other mongrels in the shelter, also known as Singapore Specials.

Mack Mack – 9 years 6 months (Male) from OSCAS, with the Porsche Macan

OSCAS is a charity and non-profit dog shelter in Pasir Ris that has been in existence since 2006. All the dogs in the shelter are mongrels rescued from the streets in order to protect them from culling. Similarly, Exclusively Mongrels is a non-profit animal welfare group that started in 2012, aiming to improve the welfare of mongrels by rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming them. Exclusively Mongrels believes that this particular dog breed truly needs help and attention in Singapore.

With the notion that animal welfare is a tenet of a caring community, Porsche’s campaign hopes to help the dogs in these shelters find a conducive home. Understanding that every contribution makes a difference to the lives of the dogs in the shelters, they aim to leverage their reputation as a globally established brand, using their strong and loyal following to spread messages and impact the wider community.

In support of animal adoption and animal welfare, and to thank the dog shelters for their collaboration in this campaign, Stuttgart Auto Pte Ltd, the sole dealer for Porsche in Singapore, has also made a donation to both OSCAS and Exclusively Mongrels.
