3 Yachts To Look Out For At Singapore Yacht Show 2018

April is shaping up to be an exciting time for yacht enthusiasts and nautical lifestyle seekers as Asia’s leading yacht and luxury show, the Singapore Yacht Show (SYS), returns to our sunny island. This year’s edition of the SYS, set to happen from 12 to 15 April, will see a vast array of the world’s most prestigious superyachts calling port at the award-winning ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove. International boating brands are also gearing up to unveil new models and some of these impressive debuts are up to 30m long, prevailing your average superyacht. We suss out the top 3 yacht premieres to look out for.

1.) Princess S65

British luxury yacht manufacturer, Princess Yachts, hails a new royal addition to its fleet — the Princess S65. A slender and streamlined beauty, the S65 boasts generous, well-appointed deck areas and a spacious interior and foredeck. With an open-plan dining area, she sports sliding doors and a fully opening electric window leading out to the cockpit, creating an uplifting al fresco bar. With the ability to accommodate eight guests across four cabins, three of which are ensuite, this regal Princess offers the versatility of both indoor to outdoor living, making the most of your vacation even on warm days and balmy evenings. 2.) 40 Open Sunreef Power

A refreshing alternative to the regular yachts at the Show are catamarans, a type of yacht that provides expansive space and great stability. A striking example is the 40 Open Sunreef Power, a unique beamy vessel with an impressive speed potential of over 60kts. It has generous storage space with hulls that have enough volume for a spacious bathroom and a utility room, with the open bow section that can be used for a cabin with a double bed. Complete with a well-equipped bar, state-of-the-art sound system and a big sun awning, this is one fully customizable craft. 3.) Lagoon 50

Also making its Asian premiere is another catamaran offering generous volume and panoramic views. The Lagoon 50 is a comfortable and practical boat with multiple cabin layouts to suit everyone’s needs. Designed by renowned studio Nauta Design, the Lagoon 50 flaunts an elegant and modern finish with personalization options—two picks of interior woodwork and many choices of upholstery and accessories available. It was also produced by expert catamaran designers, French studio Van Pethegem Lauriot Prevost, which specializes in multihull design for prestigious races, using a shorter boom for easier handling and a mainsail with high aspect ratio.
